It has been exactly 3 months since Ngwane Hansel starred in
the much acclaimed and anticipated standup comedy performance, “It’s About Time”.
Since then, credible audio-visual experts from around the continent have been
working towards a TV release of the standup comedy show that put English Comedy
on a different platform in Anglophone Cameroon.
Speaking during a press conference prior to the trailer
release, Hansel stated that the aim of this project is to illustrate the fact that
English Comedy is not an ‘out-of-this-world’ scheme, but that this is a
developing program in Cameroon and in Africa as a whole. He also reiterated the
fact that English Comedy appeals to a certain social class level, and cannot be
understood by everyone.
The trailer release comes as a result of week-long negotiations
between the board of directors and Ngwane Hansel, one which resulted to the
signing of a number of contracts pertaining to the further promotion of English
comedy in Anglophone Cameroon. Hope you enjoyed the previous trailers as you
