JEFF DUNHAM, CREATOR OF ACHMED the DEAD TERRORIST

We have all enjoyed comedy, and we have been fascinated about originality. Jeff is such talented comedian and ventriloquist, the creator of the most famous Hollywood puppet, Achmed the Terrorist. Jeff has managed to capture the world with his witty humour and clever use of current events to come up with a blend of super intelligent comedy, with the help of his beloved puppet.

Jeff Dunham was born in Dallas, Texas on April 18, 1962At the tender age of three months,  he was adopted by real estate appraiser Howard Dunham, and his wife Joyce, who raised him as a devout Presbyterian  in an affluent Dallas neighborhood as an only child. He began ventriloquism in 1970 at age eight, when his parents gave him a Mortimer Snerd dummy for Christmas, and an accompanying how-to album.

Dunham began practicing for hours in front of a mirror, studying the routines of Edgar Bergen, and the how-to record Jimmy Nelson's Instant Ventriloquism, finding ventriloquism to be a learned skill, similar to juggling, that anyone with a normal speaking voice can acquire. Dunham explains that as an only child, he enjoyed being alone, likening his solitude to a "warm blanket" with which he could explore his own thoughts and ideas, which prepared him for the solitude of living alone when he later moved to Los Angeles as a struggling comedian.

After battling with failed shows, especially with production houses, he made a first appearance on SNL. This was great, but more was to come. His second special performance, Jeff Dunham: Spark of Insanity, was taped at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C. that same year. It served not only to cement Dunham's stardom, but to introduce his most controversial character, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, which became a viral Internet sensation.

Achmed is the skeletal corpse of an incompetent suicide bomber, whom Dunham uses to satirize the contemporary issue of terrorism. He is known for yelling, "Silence! I kill you!" to Dunham and people laughing in the audience. Achmed first appeared in Spark of Insanity, and later made an appearance in the Very Special Christmas Special, singing a song called "Jingle Bombs". He also dubs the so-called Guitar Guy "You racist bastard"! for warming up with typical Arab chords.

Most of the humor Dunham expresses with Achmed centers on this motif. When mentioning that Achmed appears to be dead because he's a skeleton, Achmed responds, "It's a flesh wound." When Dunham inquires as to how he died, Achmed explains his incompetence with explosives, while also casting aspersions on Dunham's sexual prowess, by saying that they both suffer from "premature detonation." Although he frequently mentions working for Osama Bin Laden, Achmed claims he does not think he's a Muslim ("look at my ass! It says 'Made in China'"). As of June 2009, the sketch in which Dunham introduced Achmed is the fourth most watched online video ever, having amassed nearly 200 million views.

A clip of Achmed from Insanity attracted over 140 million hits on YouTube, making it the ninth most watched clip on that website as of October 2009. By 2008, Dunham's characters had crossed language barriers, with his specials dubbed for audiences in various countries such as France, and Dunham attracting requests for performances in South Africa, Australia, Norway, Denmark, China and the Middle East.

Dunham met his first wife, Paige Brown, at the Comedy Corner in West Palm Beach, Florida. They began dating in December 1992. In May 1994, Dunham married Brown and adopted her one and a half year-old daughter, Bree. Their daughters Ashlyn and Kenna were born in 1995 and 1997, respectively. Dunham's time away while performing proved a strain on the marriage, and in November 2008 he filed for divorce. By mid-2009, Dunham was in a relationship with fellow Texan Audrey Murdick, a certified nutritionist, personal trainer and competition bodybuilder, and on December 25, 2011 they became engaged.

In addition to building the dummies he uses in his act, Dunham also restores antique ones as a hobby, such as The Umpire, a 6-foot-tall (1.8 m) mechanized dummy built in 1941 to work the plate at a girl's softball game, but which went unused and packed away for 50 years, before Dunham acquired it in early 2008. Dunham has harbored a love of helicopters since childhood and is fond of building and flying his own kit helicopters from Rotorway helicopter kits. At the time he finished writing his autobiography in June 2010, he was beginning to build his fourth kit. He is also an aficionado of muscle cars and Apple Computer products.

ASHTON KUTCHER FACES CHARLIE SHEEN'S REAL LIFE PROBLEMS

When Ashton Kutcher replaced Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men, his real life began to mirror the bad boy character Sheen used to play. Gone were the days when people thought he was as sweet as sweet can be. Now, his dark side is unraveling. Charlie Sheen has been vocal about the latter’s impediments.

"Do you think that's intentional? Was it a plan of his?" quipped Sheen. "I was kind of impressed... I thought, 'Hey, man, make it colorful!'"

Since 33-year-old Kutcher joined the cast of the hit CBS show in spring 2011, his real life has unraveled. On his sixth wedding anniversary with Demi Moore in September, he had a one-night stand with 22-year-old party girl Sara Leal, and in December, Moore announced they were ending their marriage.

He has been sighted with prostitutes, seen with drugs, late night drinkings, and the partying life that his mentor Charlie Sheen used to face. So does Sheen, who stars in the upcoming Fox show Anger Management, have any advice for his successor?

"No, that's personal stuff that he's got to deal with," he said. "I don't know the man well enough to offer advice. I just wish him well and hope it all ends peacefully."

COMEDIAN 'I GO DIE' BRUTALISED BY POLICE

Popular comedian, Francis Agoda, better known as I Go Die, was almost battered to death but managed a hasty retreat back to life. The Benin, Edo State born comic powerhouse was at the receiving end of the brutality of mobile policemen missioned to maintain law and order at the rally organized for the (then) sacked Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, which held at the Warri Township Stadium on that fateful day.

According to eyewitnesses at the event, the comedian was at the event as one of the artistes chattered to entertain the mammoth crowd that had come to show solidarity with Uduaghan who is seeking a return to the Government House.

However, on his arrival at the venue with another comedian, I Go Save, they were denied entry. According to a source at the event, "The comedians wanted to enter through a designated gate for VIPS but were denied and in the course of explaining who they were, one of the soldiers got angry and descended on I Go Die, slapping and using pepper spray on him. Ogus Baba and I Go Save were also well thrashed because they wanted to prevent their colleague from being beaten."

It it took the intervention of Ali Baba before the comedians were rescued. One  source said further that Ali Baba was so miffed with the treatment meted out to his colleagues especially I Go Die, who made jokes about Warri and its people very popular, that he threatened to boycott the show totally. Bruised and battered, I GO Die is reportedly demanding a public apology from his attackers. We wish him a speedy recovery and we wait for more jokes, hopefully not about the police.

COMEDIAN & ACTOR WILL SMITH IN HOMOSEXUAL SCANDAL

Will Smith has slammed allegations that he is having a homosexual relationship with US actor Duane Martin

The ‘Independence Day’ star, whose marriage to Jada Pinkett-Smith is said to be on the rocks, denied the rumours that he is gay but a source told Star Magazine that their burgeoning relationship is causing problems at home.

A source revealed: “Will spends significantly more time with Duane than he does with Jada and the kids.”
The insider went on to claim that Jada Pinkett Smith is jealous of how close her husband is to the 'All Of Us actor' : "[She] can't stand Will's relationship with Duane. "She feels like Will flaunts it in her face, taking him on exotic vacations while she's sitting home alone."

When asked about their friendship, 46 year-old Duane who is also married said: "I'm not going to defend myself against a gay rumor." This is not the first time that speculation has surrounded the ‘Men In Black’ star’s sexuality. In 2008 a Hollywood madam claimed she set the actor up with a male prostitute.

According to The International Business Times she told blogger Ian Halperin: "I had to reassure him over and over that I could guarantee discretion."
"Once I convinced him I could, he placed his order. It was for a man.”

Last month the ‘Ali’ star’s daughter, singer Willow Smith, posted cryptic tweets about how miserable she was, sparking rumours that her parent’s marriage was close to a break down. This only goes to shake the foundation set by this humble black American Comedian and actor, who might see his career spinning out of control.
